Kay Griffiths

As an aerospace leader with over 30 years of experience, Kay is still excited about aviation. She is an engineering manager leading teams of experts focused on the certification of commercial aircraft. Her previous roles include guiding teams in aviation safety, systems engineering, and structural analysis while prioritizing safety and product integrity. As a program manager, she has successfully led multi-function teams of engineering, logistics, and business leaders to meet challenging technical, cost, and schedule goals. Kay's commitment to excellence and her passion for engineering continue to drive her contributions to the aerospace industry and the development of future leaders. In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Kay started her career with the U.S. Navy as a Naval Aviator. She remained an active member of the U.S. Navy Reserve where she held leadership roles with increasing responsibility in Naval aviation acquisition and logistics support.
Kay believes in life-long learning and holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics from Ripon College. Her professional certifications include Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certifications and specialized training in program management and engineering leadership.
